That’s how I approach my trading. These are the firms on my list, why they’re here, and how their platforms fit.
My experience with prop firms
Around The Futures Desk’s launch, I helped make connections and did a little streaming for them. I introduced them directly to Dorman for their live traders. On their YouTube channel, I streamed crude-oil trading using my own live account. I started those streams with $60,000 in the account; it was not a TFD account. This was before Topstep acquired the firm. That experience is part of my background in the prop-firm world.
My focus is still live-account trading first, with prop accounts second. I still trade crude oil. My upcoming public livestreams will focus on ES and NQ because that is what my audience wants to see.

02 / APTEROSNot an affiliate
Apteros
For me, Apteros starts with Merritt Black. His background at SMB matters to me, and I respect SMB and its connection with Kershner Trading Group. That is part of why I personally trust Merritt.
Platform fitSierra Chart + Rithmic, plus Tradrr connectivity. TradingView uses the separate Tradovate route.
What to check
Verify your account stage, connection system, and current rules. My personal support does not mean SMB backs or guarantees Apteros.
I’ve been part of a few beta tests with My Funded Futures, and I like the firm. I’m sharing that from my own experience, without an affiliate relationship.
Platform fitOptions include Hyperprop, Tradovate, NinjaTrader, and TradingView. Confirm your account’s connection.
What to check
The current firm guides do not confirm Sierra Chart or Tradrr support. Do not assume a Rithmic connection is available for a new account.
A Rithmic-based option to compare when Sierra Chart is part of your workflow. Review the connection and account rules together.
Platform fitSierra Chart and Tradrr via a compatible Rithmic account. Choose the Rithmic connection for Tradrr.
What to check
Check the account stage and platform requirements. Its qualification rules list a $100 monthly fee for third-party API or Trader Composite Software connections; ask whether this applies to your exact setup. Check your Rithmic credentials and market-data permissions before connecting Tradrr.
AMT studies run on supported charting platforms. A firm’s inclusion here does not mean it supports AMT, Sierra Chart, or Tradrr. Verify the exact platform and connection before buying an account. AMT on Tradrr is coming soon.
