AMT POC Per Bar
Per-bar Point of Control with migration moving average
Plots the Point of Control (highest-volume price level) for each bar from footprint data, with a migration moving average showing how value drifts over time. The POC dots show where the most volume traded on each bar, while the MA reveals the overall direction of value migration.

The Concept
The Point of Control (POC) is the price level with the most volume traded in a given period. On a per-bar basis, the POC shows where the market found the most acceptance — the fair value for that bar. When you track how the POC migrates from bar to bar using a moving average, you get a picture of how value is shifting. Rising POC MA = value migrating higher (bullish). Falling POC MA = value migrating lower (bearish).
How to Read It
Cyan dots mark the POC of each bar, and a gold line shows the POC migration trend.
- POC dots above the migration MA suggest value is being accepted at higher levels
- POC dots below the migration MA suggest value is being accepted at lower levels
- The migration MA direction shows the trend of fair value — smoother than price itself
- Large gaps between the POC and the migration MA indicate price is extended from value
Practical Tips
Use on volume or tick charts for meaningful per-bar footprint data. The MA Period (default 20) controls how many bars contribute to the migration trend. The MA Type can be changed from Simple to EMA or other types for different responsiveness. The internal 'Delta at POC' subgraph (hidden by default) stores the net delta at each bar's POC level for advanced analysis.
Requirements
- Requires 'Maintain Volume at Price Data' enabled on the chart
